A busy May

The month of May is filled with great things like birthdays (yes, okay, mine!) and dance performances!

On May 16th, Le Studio will be holding its annual Spring Show, called City Beat. I have 2 pieces of my choreography in the show that members of the ballet company will be performing: "I Feel Pretty," which is a re-staging of a piece I did last year, and the final courtroom/card scene from Alice in Wonderland which Melissa and I worked on together.

On May 30th, the student ballet company will have its first-ever dance concert! We will be premiering "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" which is, naturally, based on the book by Lewis Carroll and will feature choreography by Melissa and me, with music by Antonio Vivaldi. We will also be showing several other pieces from the company's repertory, including a jazzy pointe number to "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" that Melissa choreographed, as well as a contemporary ballet that she also set on the company dancers.

We're very excited for both shows and hope you can make one of them! More information below:
