Hi,
Is this Jete diff fr the grande jete? besides being not grande?
cuz one instructor said for me to make sure my grandjete is to go up as oppose to go forward; i guess i was traveling forward too much?...pls
advise.

Inge, definitely think "up" when you do any kind of jete, rather than side to side. With grand jete, you want to do a grand battement to the front first which will help lift you off the ground, and then a grand battement to the back before you land.

The same is true with these smaller jetes when you land in coupe: think *up* on the brush to help lift you off the ground and then plie as you land with the back foot in coupe. You want to think that the foot that brushes is replacing the standing foot. Does that help?
