New dance website: Ballet Dance Experts

Here's a new website I like called Ballet Dance Experts. The site's owner, Marissa, has a variety of interesting articles about what to wear to class, the beauty of male dancers, ballet history and famous dancers, and so on. A lot of good information in one place! Check it out~

New website/new info/new Nutcracker!

I'm pleased to share the brand new website for Le Studio Dance, where I teach classes in Pasadena.

Le Studio!

I'm also pleased to announce we have a date for The Nutcracker performance: Sunday, December 12. Melissa Waters, Susie Fioretti and I will be choreographing a classical (albeit shorter) Nutcracker this year which means big skirts and Tchaikovsky, two of my favorite things!

ALL of our students - this includes my adult students too - are invited to participate. We'd love to have the stage filled with our wonderful students. I hope you'll be there to dance or to enjoy.

And be sure to check out the new schedule of classes on the new website, as well as the company photos and other cool stuff.

Happy dancing~

Two great ballet resources

I just discovered two wonderful sites that are treasure troves of information for the ballet student.

The first is Ballet Connections, a website with many useful links for ballet companies, movies, interviews, books, music and more.

The second is a blog called Ballet Shoes and Pointe Shoes, a blog written by Dianne Buxton, who is a ballet instructor and book author. Among her posts are entries about extension, pointe work, men's classes, nutrition and much more.

I'll be adding these links to my sidebar for future reference.

Cheers and happy dancing~

For anyone trying to access the website for Le Studio in Pasadena (where I teach), the site address is now--

http://www.lestudiodance.org/

It was a dot com but that has changed. Everything else is the same!
