Ready for Thanksgiving class?
Our traditional Thanksgiving morning class will be on Thursday, November 28 at 10AM! It's always fun, always lively - a truly wonderful way to start the holiday and express gratitude for the terrific community we have. Join us! All are welcome! (No evening classes on Thanksgiving, only this special morning class)

In December I will be out of town but I would be happy to teach a few classes via Zoom if there are enough students who would participate. The company had two fabulous shows at the Lanterman on October 19 and 20. The audiences went wild for the new characters and dances and of course, the zombies!

Thanksgiving Morning! Open level ballet with me!

Local dancers!

Come take ballet with me on Thanksgiving morning! It will be an Open Level class at Inspire Dance Studio in La Canada - easy access from the freeways, plenty of free parking, and right next to a Trader Joe's if you have last-minute shopping needs.

Upcoming holiday class schedule & The Nutcracker

I'll be teaching ALL of my classes as usual at Dance Arts Academy and Inspire from now until the end of the year with the exception of Thanksgiving night. 

 

This *includes* the Saturday after Thanksgiving, 11/26, as well as my classes on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve mornings. If you have any questions, just ask or check the calendar on my blog and website.

 

Also, if you're interested in seeing some of your fellow dancers perform in the Nutcracker, we'll be doing 2 shows with Classical Ballet Theater on Sunday Dec 4th at the Norris Theater in Palos Verdes. More info is below.

Friday catch-up!

Happy Friday to all!

A few notes for students in LA and for readers everywhere:

1. Next week is Thanksgiving (what?!) but ALL of my classes, except actual Thanksgiving Day, will be happening. That means, Wednesday night too, for your last minute exercise before the big meal. And of course, come to class on Saturday morning if you need a respite from family and turkey. (Check my schedule below for the locations and times of all of my classes.)

2. A. 2 last workshops being held in 2015: Adagio #2 on December 3rd and Grand Allegro combinations on December 17th. Both at Dance Arts Academy from 8-9PM. Sign up at my website.

2. B. (or not 2B - ha!) Requests being taken NOW for January workshops at Dance Arts as well as a new series of workshops on Saturdays at Vonder Haar in La Canada. Yes, that's right: more workshops at another location and day! Contact me for more info and to get on the mailing list.

3. Looking for a good dance read? Check out my review of Lee Wilson's memoir, Rebel on Pointe, over at Dance Advantage. I also conducted a terrific interview with Lee herself, who happens to live in Los Angeles. Read it now and then get your own copy.

My Second Annual post-Thanksgiving $10 class special will be held on Friday, November 25 from 9:30-11AM! This is an open level class, similar to my Friday evening or Saturday morning class, and all are welcome.

Note: Classes at Le Studio are closed on Thursday, 11/24 (Thanksgiving Day) and Friday, 11/25 (except for my class!) and will open on Saturday, 11/26.

Thanksgiving schedule

Hello everyone -

An update on the Thanksgiving break schedule is listed below on my calendar. But to recap, I will be teaching all of my regularly scheduled classes except for the 6:30PM on Thursday, November 25 which is Thanksgiving Day and the 6:30PM on Friday, November 26. Otherwise, I will be teaching all classes as normal.

And for participants in the Nutcracker, both senior and junior company members as well as the parents in the party scene, we will be rehearsing on Saturday 11/27 from 12:30-2PM. No Friday rehearsal.

Schedule reminder...

Next week, I will teach my classes as usual on Monday and Tuesday.

There will be only 1 class on Wednesday, the 6:30-7:30P Adv Beginning class that Melissa Waters will teach for me.

Le Studio will be closed on Thursday and Friday to celebrate the holiday.

Normal schedule will resume on Monday, Nov 30. And btw, I will teach all of my adult classes during the studio's Christmas/New Year's break (except for the ones that fall on the actual holidays themselves).

Thanksgiving schedule

For those of you taking my classes (or any classes at Le Studio) this is to let you know that the studio will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and the Friday following. Here is my schedule for that week:

Monday & Tuesday - normal class schedule
Wednesday - Melissa Waters will teach for me
Thursday - closed
Friday - closed unless my adult students want a class at 6:30 in which case Melissa Waters will teach it

So if you are interested in a class on the Friday night after Thanksgiving, let me know in advance so I can arrange things with Melissa. The other option is a Friday morning class at 9AM with Helene Williamson.
