LET'S DANCE ALL SUMMER LONG!
Aside from Independence Day, I will be teaching all of July and the rest of the summer. It's a great time to be in the studio, especially when you need a break from the heat.

More fun - Zumba party with LPBC!
Company members MaLisa Martin and Samantha Mahony are holding Zumba classes on Friday nights at Inspire, 6:15-7:15PM. Loads of fun, great Latin music to dance to, and 1/3 of the proceeds will go to the company. It's win-win-win!

LPBC News

Our first East Coast Ballet All Day workshops!

June 1st was a smashing success!
We had so much fun working with the dancers who attended our very first Ballet All Day event in Kingston, MA. Company members Amanda Singrassia (who owns Dreamworks Performing Arts Center & Wellness where we held the workshops) and Asher Taylor-Dawson not only taught Partnering but also performed with their respective dance partners, Cisco Sanchez and Tamar Cohen, which was such a treat for all of us. Company member Tom Misnik joined us too, coming all the way from Philadelphia.

Update for Summer Schedule

Hello beautiful dancers!

A couple of notes for summer...

1. Memorial Day weekend - ALL classes as usual throughout the long weekend.

2. Summer subbing - on Thursday mornings, June 1-July 20, I will be subbing for Carol Guidry at Studio A in Silverlake, 10:15-11:45AM. The class will be similar in level to my Tues/Thurs evening classes. Fee is $15, cash only. (No credit card/check/class cards for these classes.)

AND Congrats to all my students who performed on Sunday!

Dancing through the 4th and the summer!

Hello everyone and happy summer!

A couple of things to tell you about~

1. On Monday, July 4th, I *will* be holding my 9:30AM class at Dance Arts Academy as usual. The fabulous Leon Logvinsky will be playing for me and traffic will be oh-so-minimal! And parking is free! Come enjoy class before you fire up the grill...

(For my Le Studio students in Pasadena, I am probably holding my evening classes there at 6:30 and 7:30 as well...I'll know more soon.)

2. Beginning July 6th, and for July and August only, I will be taking over Preston Li's time slot at Dance Arts Academy on Wednesdays from 11:30AM - 1PM. Same level, same space, possibly even the same combinations (lol!), etc. as my Monday morning class.

Ballet Intensive Schedule

Below is the schedule for the intensive Melissa and I are teaching. Please note that the price for the 2 weeks of classes is $175 but you can also take individual classes for $20 per class or $25 per day. For example, if you want to come take technique class and work on character dance, you could come on a Wednesday and pay $25 for the 2.5 hours of class.

Schedule update!

The summer intensive has begun and Melissa and I are truly excited about it! Everyone who participates will be eligible to join the studio's ballet company in the fall without having to audition for it - that's a good incentive, isn't it?

As a reminder, all of my adult classes for the next 2 weeks will be in session and the Tuesday class will start at 6:30 instead of 6PM. Which reminds me, starting in September, ALL of my adult classes will begin at 6:30 and I will be adding a second basic ballet class on Monday nights at 7:30 following my earlier class. Yay! It's a great class for beginners, for people who are coming back to class after an absence for whatever reason, or simply to work slowly and carefully on your skills.

My schedule at the bottom of the page will be updated for September.

Slight schedule adjustments

A few alterations to my class schedule:

1. Through August, there will be no 4:15PM Friday Teen class. However, I will continue the 5:30PM Friday Pointe class for all.

2. The Summer Ballet Intensive from August 17-28 will be open to ALL students at ALL levels. So no matter your age, if you want to improve your technique and learn some rep, come sign up for the intensive: 626-792-4616. And at $175 for the whole 2 weeks, the price can't be beat!!

3. My adult classes will continue through the August break! The only change is Tuesdays which will begin at 6:30 rather than 6, just for August 18 and 25.

My calendar below will be updated to reflect these changes...

Summer update

With summer comes vacation but luckily for my students, I'm not going anywhere! LOL!

From August 17-28, while Le Studio is officially closed, Melissa Waters and I will be teaching a ballet intensive for students ages 8-19, Monday through Friday, from 4 to 6:30 PM:

4 - 5:30PM - technique class with Melissa or Leigh
5:30 - 6:30 PM - repertory

During repertory, we will be learning a piece that we will showcase for the studio in September and will be the basis of our new ballet company! Yes, we are bringing back Le Studio's student company this fall and every student who takes the intensive will not have to audition for it. Cost for the entire 2 weeks is $175.

Also, my adult class schedule will remain the same, with the exception of Tuesday nights which will begin at 6:30 for both weeks (this is only a temporary change).
